It’s Tertiary Open Day! And it’s a collaboration between Canberra's five tertiary institutions (ADFA, ANU, UC, ACU and CIT) to host an open day at their corresponding campuses on one single day – Saturday 27 August.
So, if you are considering tertiary study next year then you don’t want to miss out on this BIG DAY! We know you have BIG plans, BIG ideas and BIG decisions to make, so get yourself along to Tertiary Open Day and take advantage of all of the institutions being open on the same day.

Open Day at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) is an ideal opportunity for you to experience this unique, world class training and educational facility. If you are interested in combining a challenging and exciting career in the Australian Defence Force with a degree from the University of New South Wales, then Open Day is the place for you.

At ADFA on Open Day:
Defence members and University of New South Wales (UNSW Canberra) staff will be able to provide you with course and careers information. Navy Midshipmen and Army and Air Force Officer Cadets will also be available to talk to you about their life at ADFA and take you on personalised tours of the campus.
Open Day is your chance to see a range of exciting action packed displays by the Navy, Army and Air Force. You can see a Navy helicopter, demonstrations of Army field tactics, the Air Force hot air balloon and University of New South Wales Academic stalls. ADFA Midshipmen and Officer Cadets will demonstrate different aspects of their training, complete the pool obstacle course, undertake physical training, conduct abseiling and rock climbing, and practice military self defence. The ADFA band will also perform live music throughout the day.
Tours led by UNSW Canberra staff will highlight the outstanding academic facilities and staff will also host information sessions on all aspects of academic life to potential applicants and their families. The information sessions will address both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Business, Science, Engineering and IT. UNSW Canberra welcomes postgraduate applications from non-military applicants.

Australian Catholic University (ACU) is one of the fastest growing universities in Australia, and has experienced the biggest increase of undergraduate students in the country – growing by 36 per cent between 2009 and this year. ACU is a public university and is open to students from all beliefs and backgrounds.
